Not having a registered dentist and experiencing severe tooth ache I went on line and booked an appointment to see the dentist. Upon arrival I was booked in and saw a dentist for an initial evaluation of the tooth. Brief discussion about the course to go down which was extraction...

20 minutes the tooth was removed and an after care course was discussed . Overall a very good experience. The staff on site guided us in seeing we hadn’t been before. So yes would recommend them.

Great service! Was very local to myself . Was able to get an appt straight away. However I aas in agony and was kept waiting over 30 mins for the appt in the reception but suppose that comes with the nature of an emergency appt that the dentist doesn’t know how long the appt infront will take...

Once I was in the dental room it was very modern. Dan was a lovely friendly dentist.

Clear And Predictable Emergency Dentist Fees

People are often worried about the cost of seeing an emergency dentist. Emerdency uses a simple fixed fee structure for emergency consultation appointments, which is shown clearly before you book. This means you know what you will pay for the initial emergency care, with no hidden charges or unexpected extras.

When you book through Emerdency, you also have added peace of mind. If a partner practice charges more than the stated emergency consultation fee, we will ensure the difference is refunded, so you always pay what was clearly shown at the time of booking.

If treatment outside those listed on the website is recommended, your dentist will explain the options and associated fees clearly before any decision is made, so you can choose how you wish to proceed. Our goal is to keep emergency dentist fees transparent and predictable, while allowing each practice to provide high quality clinical care based on your individual needs.

All emergency dentists who accept bookings through Emerdency are registered with the General Dental Council and follow UK professional standards for patient care. They work in established dental practices that already provide routine and emergency dentistry for their own patients.

Many of our partner dentists have additional experience in areas such as oral surgery, root canal treatment or the care of anxious patients. At some practices, sedation may be available for suitable patients following a clinical assessment.

By choosing an emergency dentist through Emerdency, you can feel confident that you will be seen by a qualified professional in an appropriate clinical setting, rather than relying on temporary measures at home.

Why Choose Emerdency When You Need An Emergency Dentist

Emerdency combines clinical insight from practising dentists with straightforward online booking. The platform is managed by clinicians who understand how urgent dental problems affect day to day life and who want emergency care to be easier to access.

By focusing on emergency dentist appointments across the UK, Emerdency aims to:

  • Improve access to urgent dental care
  • Support patients in pain with clear information and realistic expectations
  • Work only with regulated dental professionals in appropriate settings

This approach supports both patients and partner practices, and helps to ensure that people who search for an emergency dentist can reach safe, reliable care when they need it.

When To See An Emergency Dentist ?

An emergency dentist can help when you have a problem that cannot wait for a routine check up. Examples include:

1

Dental pain that is stopping you sleeping or carrying out normal activities

2

Swelling in the face or around a tooth

3

A broken tooth that is sharp, painful or affecting your bite

4

A lost or broken filling or crown that is causing discomfort

5

Trauma to the teeth after an accident

What To Expect At An Emergency Dentist Appointment

When you book through Emerdency, your emergency dentist appointment focuses on your immediate concern. The dentist will:

Icon representing patient consultation and medical history review

Listen to your symptoms and medical history

Icon showing a clinical examination of teeth and surrounding area

Examine the affected teeth and surrounding area

Icon representing the process of taking dental X-rays for diagnosis

Take small dental X rays if needed to understand the problem fully

Icon of a dental X-ray and camera representing a clinical explanation of symptoms

Explain the likely cause of your symptoms in clear, simple language

Icon of a magnifying glass over a tooth representing emergency relief and stabilisation

Emergency treatment may include placing a temporary or semi permanent dressing, adjusting the bite, cleaning an infected area, or starting a procedure such as root canal treatment where appropriate. The aim is to relieve pain, reduce the risk of the problem getting worse, and give you time to arrange any longer term care that may be needed.

You will be given clear information about any further treatment options, likely outcomes and fees so that you can make an informed decision about the next steps.
